Matched laser for each concern
Quick answer

Which laser treatment is right for my skin?

There is no single laser for every concern — the right choice depends on the target . For pigment and dullness, low-fluence laser toning or pico laser is common; for redness, vascular laser or IPL; for texture, pores and mild acne scars, fractional lasers such as Fraxel or LaseMD. At JIA Skin Clinic Gangnam the doctor matches device and energy to your skin type; most toning sessions have little downtime and results build over 3–10 sessions depending on the concern. Why JIA Skin Clinic

The right laser, at the right setting

Lasers are powerful tools, and Asian skin can react with pigmentation if settings are too aggressive. JIA's doctor chooses conservative, effective parameters and reviews progress at each visit.

Diagnosis before device

We identify whether the concern is pigment, vessels or texture, then choose the laser — not the other way round.

Gentle settings

Energy is adjusted for skin type and season to lower the risk of irritation and rebound pigmentation.

Several lasers in one plan

Toning, pico, IPL, vascular and fractional lasers can be combined in stages for mixed concerns.

Transparent pricing

VAT-inclusive quotes, English communication and private treatment rooms.

How laser skin treatment works

Skin analysis

Your doctor assesses pigment, redness, texture and skin type, and reviews recent sun exposure and medications.

Laser plan

The laser (or combination) and an estimated number of sessions are chosen for your concern.

Treatment

Sessions take around 15–45 minutes; you may feel warmth, light snapping or tingling, with numbing for stronger lasers.

Aftercare & review

Temporary pinkness is common; written aftercare is given in English and settings are adjusted as skin responds.

FAQ

Laser skin questions, answered

Is laser treatment safe for Asian skin?

Yes, when settings are chosen carefully. Asian skin has a higher tendency to post-inflammatory pigmentation, so JIA uses conservative energy and appropriate intervals.

How many laser sessions do I need?

It depends on the laser and concern: toning often needs 5–10 sessions, IPL or pico 2–5, and fractional lasers 3–5. Your doctor will give a realistic estimate.

Is there downtime after laser skin treatment?

Laser toning usually has little to none. Pico, IPL and fractional lasers may cause redness, darkened spots or flaking for several days.

Does laser treatment hurt?

Most lasers feel like warmth or a rubber band snap. Numbing cream is used for stronger treatments such as Fraxel.

Can laser remove melasma?

Melasma can often be lightened and controlled with gentle toning, but it tends to recur, so ongoing care and sun protection are important.
